Yarn-along: jacket done and new shawl started …
~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Good morning! We’re into August already … with muggy days (but not too hot … 86 today) … and lots of things happening with school getting ready to start up and final house-chores being finished.
But I always find time to knit!
I finished the kimono-jacket I showed y’all last week … it’s all blocked and just needs writing up. I really love this one and can’t wait till it gets chilly enough to wear it all the time …
I started a cotton/cashmere shawl … the yarn doesn’t have a whole lot of memory, being this particular blend of fibers. You can tell because the center-pulled ball doesn’t collapse into itself as graphically shown here. BUT, but it drapes BEAUTIFULLY. It’s a Lotus yarn (distributed by Trendsetter Yarns) called Autumn Wind in the Very Berry colorway. I can’t wait to show y’all what I’m knitting!
Not a whole lot of reading … lots of van time though. I really need to get some books on CD!
Enjoy and have a fabulous week.
I have a t-shirt from LLBean that is a cotton/cashmere blend, it is the softest, most comfy shirt ever. I wish they still carried them. The shawl will be wonderful.
