Our "word" for the year: the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit

We’re now at the mid-point of the year for our motto … using the 12 Fruits of the Holy Spirit as our “hook”. It has been wonderful to find Church writings that specifically mention the monthly “fruit”.

For May, the word is “mildness”. The quote is taken from Vehementer Nos, an encyclical from Pope St. Pius X directed to the French people in reference to the
French Law of Separation. While the quote refers to the vocation of the clergy, the truth is universal … that we should respond ALWAYS with a spirit of charity and mildness. A particularly important truth to remember as the Presidential Election of 2012 heats up.
