Raleigh Wrap ... a cozy shawl

Raleigh Wrap … a cozy shawl

Wow, it seems like forever (just since April) that I’ve posted a new design. Part of it has been working on publication designs (which I can’t show until they’re published … but they pay a bigger chunk than self-publishing so it’s a trade off) and part has been the fact that this summer has been uber-duber busy! Can’t believe we’re more than half thru July already.

Ah well, on to the new design: Raleigh Wrap … a cozy shawl is just that. It is done in a loosely spun, bulky wool-blend that keeps the shawl light and lofty and cozy and warm all at the same time. It’s a fun mix of classic lace patterns (using trinity lace for the body and wave lace for the knitted-on border) and knit from the top down down! It takes about 500 yards of yarn … I used Jo-Ann’s Sensations “It’s a Wrap” in Purple Rose (this is a nylon/wool blend that is really a joy to knit …).

It’s available for immediate download on Ravelry and Craftsy
