February Squared ... a shawlette

February Squared … a shawlette

Good evening!

This design was supposed to be published last week … making the name a tad more appropriate … but circumstances beyond my control worked together to keep me from posting this wonderful design. Worked up as a perfect 32-inch-per-side square, this shawlette really shows long-color-repeat/self-striping yarn at it’s best. The four cabled-columns, marking each corner, and the three different lace patterns, keep the knitting interesting (while the plain stockinette round add some respite from intense knitting!).

This pattern would also make a perfect baby- or lap-blanket.

This pattern, the second in my EZ-inspired designs, is based on EZ’s February shawl/blanket in her classic Knitter’s Almanac, a book (and knitting author) all knitters should have on their shelves!

The design is available for immediate download from my Ravelry store or from Craftsy.

Enjoy!
