and generally have a sensation time while eating Kira’s Crepes and cider donuts at Carpe Donuts … btw, Carpe sells Frodos – an amazing flavor blend with an ice cream sandwich made with one of the cider donuts … WOW! [A great finish to the apple, bacon, cheddar crepe I’d had for lunch … just sayin’]

I spent all day Sunday down there … helping in Jane’s Spring Gate Farm booth … and demonstrating/offering knitting help in the afternoon at the demo tent. It’s great to see folks who I only see at this festival (this is my 4th year going … so I’m building some great annual friendships.

One portion of the FFF that is really cool is the Skein/Garment Competition. Clotho’s Handspinners, a handspinning guild from Richmond, coordinates this competition, a competition that gathers entries from all over the state of Virginia and even beyond.

I entered three items in the hand-knit (with commercial yarn) division.
