As I mentioned back in January, my goal for this year is to create a design-a-month … something that celebrates Ireland or St. Brigid or Celtic-ness in general. Each design will have a special “Brigid Collection” symbol and will inspire you to try your hand at intricate knitting.

Here’s February’s design:

For February — a cowl that celebrates St. Valentine’s Day while also embracing the Celtic knitting heritage of cabling. This cowl, with it’s heart-cables and gorgeous hand-dyed yarn is a fun and quick knit that you’ll enjoy wearing either close-up around your neck (by buttoning the coconut-shell heart) or loose (by unbuttoning and placing the heart button as a decorative accent to the left or right …

This is a great knit that uses only 200yds of worsted-weight hand-dyed yarn. Click here to purchase this design from Ravelry (or Craftsy, if you’re not a member of Ravelry).

Next month — the Month of St. Patrick should bring a VERY interesting and challenging design ….
