~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~

The Irish Sea shawl … ‘nough said!

Christmas Collar

Back from vacation with a few published designs to show for it. I’m going to do a post on road-trip knitting but couldn’t resist the chance to jump back into yarn-alongs with Ginny and her friends. So here is my yarn-along:

Vacations for me mean lots of time for knitting since dh doesn’t mind doing all the driving and I have an awesome light that allows me to knit thru the night or early dawn driving portions! We were gone for two weeks and I had a total of 4 projects with me … the Irish Sea, Christmas Collar, and another shawl (Not-So-Plain-Jane) which was just about finished when we got home and now I have to write-up, and a companion to the Christmas Collar (a scarf in a gorgeous kelly green). You’ll be seeing those designs up pretty soon.

As for reading: on the Kindle, I’ve just started a review copy of How Far is it to Bethlehem: the Plays and Poetry of Francis Chesterton. It seems that Francis was an amazing writer just like her more famous husband, GK. I’ve read just the first few chapters and I’m thoroughly enjoying it! I’m also reading Vol 3 of Chesterton’s Works; this particular volume is many of his essays on why he became Catholic and the benefits of the Catholic Church. EXCELLENT!

Sorry for the brevity of the post this time … we’re off to morning Mass for the Feast of the Assumption, than on to school-shopping (which is REALLY fun when you homeschool and YOU can decide what supplies the kids need!).

Hugs all ’round …

Won’t you join along?
