Road-Trip Cowl

Road-Trip Cowl

It’s been mighty brisk here in the Old Dominion … and this cowl is the perfect accessory for walks with dh or even to go out and get the mail. I knit this on our way home from the NC mountains back right after Christmas. It was a 36-hour date (LOVE having adult children nearby) and I worked on socks on the way down and did this cowl on the way back.

It goes super fast in the bulky yarn especially since it’s knit in the round with “welts” of knits and purls and hidden decreases to the ribbed neck. You’ll finish with the four-point shoulder shaping. The bulkiness of the hood folds up nicely against the neck thanks to those welts! Bind off and you are ready to wear this perfect wind-blocking accessory. The sample used most of one skein of Jarbo Garn’s Duo in a lovely natural cream color.

This pattern is available in my Ravelry store and on Craftsy for immediate download. While you’re on Rav or Craftsy, check out my many other designs … sig block
