Yarn-along: road-trip knitting is the best!
~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Leave a link below to share your photo with the rest of us! ~ Ginny at small things
So last week, we were on a week-long road-trip to the Carolinas (and we’re one of the few families ’round these parts who doesn’t go to the beach when we head to Carolina. we head to the gorgeous (and much cooler) Carolina mountains for a wonderful family adventure. I love these types of road trips … dh drives and I get a lot of knitting done.
This particular trip I finished a shawl I’m naming “Raleigh Wrapper” … to remember our time on the road and visiting our dear friends. I’ll be publishing the pattern soon … so keep checking back. I also finished a publication design for TKGA’s Cast On magazine. It’s a fun fair-isle cowl using 7 different shades of Knit Picks’ wool of the andes. Here’s a bitty sneak peek at the design which should be in this Fall’es issue:
On my reading table, I’m continuing my immersion in Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple short stories … and really loving Dame Christie’s amazing writing abilities!
So what are you knitting and reading? Wanna come play ….
