OK …. so I have not only been super busy … I’ve also been unable to access my website for the last few weeks. This delay coincided with an “upgrade” of our Verizon FIOS.

Interesting thoughts come to mind (and quite a few swear words, too!).

I am now back up and running and I have some designs back-logged. So here is the first:

Hip to be Square shawlette

This one is fun to knit. The basic premise is you start in the center of the square – which can be worn on the back, to the front (cowboy bandana style), or on the shoulder. The square finishes up, you’ll bind off two of the sides and then create “ties” or “arms” that decrease down to 9 stitches.

The sample uses two skeins of sock yarn – here a Paton’s Kroy Sock Yarn (Ragg Shades in Grey-Brown Marl) – and the striping really highlights the unique construction.

This pattern is available in my Ravelry Store … and my LoveKnitting site (for those in Europe) … for immediate download.

And a sneak peek at my next published pattern ….
