Jane's Kerseymere Spencer Jacket

Jane’s Kerseymere Spencer Jacket

I just got a copy of the latest Piecework magazine – the Jan/Feb 2014 issue – which includes my latest design. This jacket, done in the Fiber Company’s “Road to China” (in garnet), is knit in one piece from the high-waist lace border to the shoulders. The sleeves are knit-in-the-round from the armhole down, finishing with a full-lace cuff. The collar and button-band are worked and you are ready to roll …

I also wrote a companion article about the origins, rise and fall of the Spencer jacket as de rigeur during the Austen era.

Feeling very smiley-proud right now.
