~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading, and the evidence of this often shows up in my photographs. I love seeing what other people are knitting and reading as well. So, what are you knitting or crocheting right now? What are you reading? Take a photo and share it either on your blog or on Flickr. Dawn's Early Light - poncho or shawl

Dawn’s Early Light – poncho or shawl

Well, good morning!

I didn’t get to post a Yarn-along last week as I spent the last week-ish in Columbus, OH at a trade-show for fiber retailers (I’ll post more about that later today). Suffice to say that I had a wonderful time … saw and felt all the new yarns and fibers and tools and general coolness the industry will unveil this Fall/Winter season … and just reveled in hanging with other fiber-friends.

An exhausting week away from home, but so very worth it!

So THIS post will be devoid of any book suggestions as I haven’t had much time to read the last week or two other than bits and pieces of knitting books and magazines. That said, I do have a perfect new design for July that I’ve just posted: my Dawn’s Early Light poncho/shawl!

A fun knit … shown in a seasonal colorway here, but able to be worked in any fingering-weight fiber, this is going to be a classic lacy accessory for year-round wear.

Available both on Craftsy and in my Ravelry store … you can immediately download the pattern and then start your summer knitting off nicely.

So, what are you knitting during these hot, humid (here it’s slated to be in the upper 90s today!) days of Summer? Wanna come play over at Ginny’s
